Zombie Walk 2024: A Night of Undead Fun in Sitges
Capturing the Creepy, Creative, and Hilarious Highlights of Sitges’ Annual Zombie Parade
Last weekend, specifically on Saturday night in Sitges there was Zombie Walk 2024. This town is always buzzing, but that night had a special kind of energy. As I made my way toward the beachfront, the streets were filled with zombies of all kinds—everything from classic horror-style makeup to some surprisingly creative (and a bit wacky) costumes. It was clear people had put a lot of thought into their undead looks, and the atmosphere was more fun than frightening.
I didn’t dress up, but watching from the sidelines was just as entertaining. I snapped photos and filmed as the zombie parade shuffled past, catching everything from zombie brides to entire families who had made it a group effort. Some zombies were barely in character, chatting away and laughing, while others were fully committed, groaning and limping through the streets.
There was something fun happening at every turn, and I found myself constantly stopping to take more pictures. The event had drawn in a big crowd, but it didn’t feel overwhelming—just a bunch of people, locals and visitors alike, enjoying a weirdly festive evening.
By the end of the night, my camera roll was packed with photos of zombies, and I had captured some great video clips that really showed off the goofy, anything-goes vibe of the walk. If you ever find yourself in Sitges during the film festival, Zombie Walk is an absolute must-see. Even if you’re just there to spectate like I was, it’s a night of laughs, creativity, and a lot of undead fun!
