Buffy enthusiasts, get ready for a new adventure featuring the original cast members, and notably, without the involvement of Joss Whedon. Audible is set to release a brand-new audio original in the Buffyverse, taking place a decade after the series finale, premiering on Amazon’s audio platform on October 12th.

Titled “Slayers: A Buffyverse Story,” the production will feature familiar faces like James Marsters, Charisma Carpenter, Anthony Head, Juliet Landau, Emma Caulfield Ford, James Charles Leary, Danny Strong, and Amber Benson, along with some fresh additions to the cast.

The story, co-written by Amber Benson (Tara), will explore Spike’s attempt to hide among the forces of darkness in Los Angeles after the Slayer’s game is up, thanks to teen Slayer Indira Nunnally. As the plot unfolds, we’ll see a parallel universe where Buffy Summers doesn’t exist, and Cordelia takes on the role of the prominent Slayer.

Sarah Michelle Gellar, unfortunately, won’t be making an appearance, but the intriguing narrative promises an exciting addition to the Buffyverse.
