Pech Merle Virtual Tour

P

Pech Merle is a famous prehistoric cave painting site located in France. It was discovered by three teenagers in 1922 and contains paintings of wooly mammoths, other animals, and handprints. It also contains footprints of children which were preserved in what used to be clay.

It is one of the few sites of prehistoric cave paintings open to the public, and one can explore it virtually on their website. Additionally, there is a Wikipedia article on Pech Merle and other digital artworks like automata art and digital knitting illusions.
