Playing Music from Apple Classical App on Sonos Speakers

P

If you’re a classical music enthusiast, you might have heard of Apple Classical, a dedicated section of Apple Music that offers a wide range of classical music tracks, playlists, and albums. With Apple Classical, you can explore different composers, conductors, and performers, discover new genres, and create your own library of classical music.

But what if you want to play your Apple Classical library on your Sonos speaker system? Sonos as usual made things a bit more challenging. I hate this company by now. They make good speaker and I have them all over the house but the software / apps are terrible and difficult to use. Sonos again didn’t bother to add Apple Classical app (which is separate from the main Apple Music to its services list) Luckily, there is a way around for users to get their music played via their speakers. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

  1. Explore and add music to your Apple Classical library

First, you need to explore the Apple Classical section on your iPhone and add music to your library. To do this, open the Apple Music app on your iPhone, tap on the “Browse” tab, and scroll down until you see the “Classical” section. Here, you can browse by composer, genre, performer, or curator, and select individual tracks or entire albums to add to your library.

To add music to your library, simply tap on the “…” button next to the track or album, and select “Add to Library.” You can also create playlists and add tracks to them by tapping on the “Add to Playlist” button.

  1. Add Apple Music as a music service on your Sonos account

Next, you need to add Apple Music as a music service on your Sonos account. If you haven’t done this already, go to the Sonos app on your phone, tap on the “More” tab, and select “Add Music Services.” Here, you’ll see a list of available music services. Look for “Apple Music” and select it.

  1. Look for your Apple Classical library on Sonos

Once you’ve added Apple Music as a music service on your Sonos account, you can start playing your Apple Classical library on your Sonos speaker system. To do this, go to the Sonos app, tap on “Browse,” and select “Apple Music” from the list of music services. Here, you’ll see your recently added tracks and albums from Apple Classical.

If you’ve tagged entire albums in your Apple Classical library, you can find them more easily by selecting the “Albums” tab in the Apple Music section on Sonos. This way, you can browse and play entire albums without having to select individual tracks.

  1. Enjoy your Apple Classical library on Sonos

Now that you’ve set up Apple Music as a music service on your Sonos account, and added music to your Apple Classical library, you can enjoy your favorite classical tracks on your Sonos speaker system. Simply select the track or album you want to play, and click on the “Play” button.

In conclusion, adding Apple Classical to your Sonos speaker system is a great way to enjoy high-quality classical music in your home. With just a few simple steps, you can access your Apple Classical library on Sonos and enjoy your favorite tracks and albums with the best possible sound quality.
