A new study published in the journal Sports Medicine has found that those who habitually cycle have a 23% better chance of avoiding premature death and a significantly reduced risk of cardiovascular illness. So get out there on your bike!
The study looked at 17 previous studies involving 478,847 participants and found that just 130 minutes of cycling per week is sufficient to benefit life expectancy. In addition to physical health benefits, cycling can also improve mental health and provide a dose of Vitamin D.
