The upcoming Netflix Tour de France docuseries is set to be released in early June, coinciding with the Critérium du Dauphiné race. I am looking forward to! It looks like it will air just before the tour itself starts!
The first episode of the series focuses on the QuickStep-AlphaVinyl team, covering the non-selection of French star Julian Alaphilippe and Yves Lampaert’s shock stage 1 win, as well as Fabio Jakobsen’s victory and his comeback from a life-threatening crash in 2020. The series will comprise of eight episodes and will be shown in 190 territories worldwide, with Netflix covering the production costs of €8 million. The official trailer was released earlier this year at the Mobile Live World Congress.
