Topless in Berlin

Berlin has recently changed its policy to allow swimmers to go topless at its pools. This change was made in response to a legal challenge that argued the previous policy was discriminatory against women.

This decision is in line with the German concept of Freikörperkultur, which encourages people to embrace the body and be comfortable in the nude. Foreign visitors to Germany are often surprised by the prevalence of nude activities in the country.
