Pope Francis Says Homosexuality Is Not a Crime, but Is a Sin

P

So apparently Pope Francis condemned laws criminalizing homosexuality in an interview with The Associated Press, saying the Church should do more to end them and should welcome L.G.B.T.Q. people. He stated that being homosexual is not a crime, but a sin, and that a lack of charity to one another is also a sin. He has made outreach to the L.G.B.T.Q. community a pillar of his papacy, though he has clarified that his comments do not change Church doctrine. He has also come under criticism for a ruling issued by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith that bans priests from blessing same-sex unions. My response to him… Hey dude, let’s be clear here – it’s not a sin, go back and talk to your imaginary friend about it again, because this is not good enough.
